When I saw that Case was named the 2025–2026 Lincoln Trail FFA Regional Star Farmer,
I had to go back and pull up his senior session.
Because this one was SO him.
When I asked Case what he wanted for his senior pictures,
he didn't give me some elaborate idea or a Pinterest board full of poses.
He wanted his farm.
That's it.
And honestly, that's exactly where we needed to be.
Case is an MCHS senior who loves farming, FFA and pretty much anything agriculture. He told me he wanted his senior pictures to capture him doing the things he actually loves, so that's what we did.
No trying to turn him into somebody different for pictures.
We used the farm, tractors, his show banners and the places where he actually spends his time.
And then Kentucky decided to show off a little.
We got a rainbow.
Not a fake one. Not something I added later. A legitimate, perfectly timed rainbow during his senior pictures.
I mean... come on. 😂
Those are the things I love about photographing seniors somewhere that actually means something to them. We could have gone somewhere just because it was pretty, but these pictures are going to mean something different years from now because this is his place.
And now they're even cooler to look back on.

A Pretty Big FFA Accomplishment
Case was recently named the 2025–2026 Lincoln Trail FFA Regional Star Farmer and will go on to compete against 11 other members from across Kentucky for the title of Kentucky FFA State Star Farmer.
Which feels especially fitting considering when I asked him what his favorite thing about himself was on his senior questionnaire, his answer was:
Work ethic.
Yep. That tracks. 😂
His plans after MCHS include UK Ag, and when I asked about his dream job, his answer was simply something in agriculture.
I think it's safe to say he's already well on his way.
Congratulations, Case. This is a BIG deal and such a cool accomplishment.
This Is Why I Love Senior Pictures
This session is also such a good example of why I've fallen so hard for senior photography.
I don't want every senior standing in the same field doing the same poses.
Tell me what you actually do.
Show me where you spend your time.
Bring the truck. Bring the tractor. Bring the FFA jacket. Hang the show banners on the barn. Bring the things that probably don't feel all that important right now because they're just part of your everyday life.
Case actually wrote on his questionnaire that his vision for his session was to “capture me in all the things I love to do.”
That's pretty much the whole point.
Senior pictures should look like you.
And sometimes, if we're really lucky, Kentucky will even throw in a rainbow for us.
