Every once in a while, a senior session just feels effortless, and that’s exactly how it was with Bella. She’s on the track team, full of personality, and totally at ease in front of the camera. Within the first few minutes, I knew this was going to be a fun one.
Fun fact: this girl walked around a brushy field with no shoes on the entire time. Yep, barefoot in the country brush! I gave her major credit for that one. I also warned her if she got hurt for track it was NOT ON ME. I didnt wanna go head-to-head with the coach, who at one point was my coach. Bella wanted that rustic, country vibe for her session, complete with a truck (and her man’s truck at that), so of course we had to bring him into a few shots too.
Her energy was contagious. She is sweet, funny, and totally herself. And her mom? Absolute rockstar. She didn’t even flinch when I pulled a last-minute location change. (Seriously, every photographer dreams of that level of chill!)

Now for full transparency: about two hours before Bella’s session, I got some stressful news and my brain was running a mile a minute. Then I realized I’d done the unthinkable ....I left my entire camera bag at home. Thankfully, the session was close to my house, and my guy came to the rescue like the hero he is. I just looked at Bella and her mom and said, “Don’t worry, your photos are going to be amazing...just as soon as my camera gets here.” Serously, thanks for being so chill and understanding out that. I will never let that happen again, because I felt my soul melt into the ground. Life happens and I couldnt undo it, so just roll with the punches, right?!?!
Ahhh… isn’t stress fun?
But honestly, we rocked it. The photos turned out so good... and the best part? Bella couldn’t stop messaging me about how much she loved them, even from just a tiny sneak peek. I loved that. I also enjoyed doing a bit of sneak peek teasing, because I knew they would be awesome.
I can’t wait for our next round of sessions together .... I already know it’s going to be a blast.

Sessions like Bella’s remind me why I love what I do. She showed up with confidence, brought her own personality into every photo, and made it such a fun evening from start to finish. The light, the laughter, and the little in-between moments made this session something special.
